Family AfFAIR takes place Saturday.

SCOTTVILLE — This year’s Family AfFAIR will be a little different than past years. Last year, the event was one of the first major local events to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Traditionally the event takes place in the halls and classrooms of Mason County Central High School. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, March 13 as a drive-thru event in the parking lot of the MCC Middle School, located to the north of the high school.

This year’s theme is Kindness is Contagious, a theme that was actually chosen prior to the pandemic.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. still will feature a wide variety of resources families can pick up including food boxes from Feeding America.

Those who will be attending will need to enter the middle school parking lot from Johnson Road. Firefighters and police officers will be there to direct traffic. Traffic will then exit to Beryl or Maple streets.
