The following is recent Mason County Sheriff’s Office activity: 

Tuesday, March 2, 2021:

  • 9:32 a.m., assault, 2400 block of North 21st Street, Sheridan Township. A report is being forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.

Wednesday, March 3, 2021:

  • 2:19 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Meyers Roadm Amber Township.
  • 10:35 a.m., a 31-year-old Manistee man was arrested on a criminal bench warrant for probation violation on an original charge of assault, Mason County Sheriff’s Office, City of Ludington.
  • 3:01 p.m., retail fraud, 100 block of North Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township. The case remains under investigation.
  • 7:20 p.m., a 20-year-old Mason County man was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant, US 10 and Tyndall Road, Branch Township.
  • 7:53 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Bradshaw Road west of Riggle Road, Riverton Township.
