Ludington man charged with aggravated stalking.

LUDINGTON — Stephen Allan Lange of Ludington was arraigned on felony charges of aggravated stalking following his arrest on Wednesday, Feb. 24, by Ludington Police Department. According to a press release from Ludington Police Department, Lange had approached the 46-year-old female victim inside Walmart on Wednesday. He then allegedly followed her as she drove into the City of Ludington and called her on her phone. Lange and the victim apparently have a former dating relationship, according to the release.

Lange was arrested at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Danaher Street. His alleged actions violated bond conditions set by the 79th District Court on Jan. 25, 2021 when he was arrested for domestic assault and battery against the same victim.

Aggravated stalking is punishable by up to five years imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine.

Bond was set at $25,000 cash/surety. Lange remains lodged in the Mason County Jail. A probable cause hearing in 79th District Court is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. on March 10, 2021.
