Catalytic converters cut off company vehicle during theft.

FREE SOIL TOWNSHIP — A thief or thieves cut catalytic converters off a company vehicle located at a business in the 8700 block of North US 31, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The larceny was reported to police Thursday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. “The business owner arrived to find one of the company vehicles had the catalytic converters cut off of it,” said Sheriff Cole.

The following is other Mason County Sheriff’s Office activity Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021:

– 4:45 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive south of Dewey Road, Hamlin Township.

– 11:20 a.m., one-vehicle rollover crash, no injury, US 10 east of First Street, Branch Township.

– 7:25 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of Stephens Road, Custer Township.
