VICTORY TOWNSHIP — A 35-year-old Scottville man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies after locking himself inside his vehicle during a traffic stop Friday, Nov. 20, shortly after 11:30 a.m. at Fountain and Angling roads, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The suspect was arrested on misdemeanor warrants of domestic violence and two counts of failure to appear and a felony warrant for flight to avoid prosecution. He was also charged with one felony count of resisting and obstructing police for locking himself in his vehicle.

Friday, Nov. 20, 2020:

– 5:30 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive south of Bertha Lane, Pere Marquette Township.

– 1:54 p.m., (MCSO), fraud, Hamlin Township. The complainant reported someone had made several unauthorized credit card purchases.

– 4 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 43-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a warrant and for drug possession, Tallman Lake Road and 20th Street, Sheridan Township.

Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020:

– 12:27 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.

– 5:26 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of Free Soil Road, Free Soil Township.

– 5:59 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Rath Road north of Decker Road, Hamlin Township.

– 8:57 a.m., (MCSO), illegal dumping, 4900 block of West Conrad Road, Pere Marquette Township. The complainants reported several bags of shingles dumped on their property.

– 6 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Dewey Road west of Jebavy Drive, Hamlin Township.

– 9:22 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Chauvez Road overpass, Pere Marquette Township.

– 10:50 p.m., (MSP), a 29-year-old Saginaw man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), US 10 and Stiles Road, Amber Township.

Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020:

– 6:40 a.m., (MCSO) one-vehicle crash, no injury, Tyndall and Decker roads, Branch Township.

– 9:17 a.m., (MCSO), domestic violence arrest, 3000 block of North Reek Road, Sherman Township. A 24-year-old Ludington man was arrested following a 911 call reporting an assault. The reported suspect was located driving on Sugar Grove Road near Morse Road by a second deputy who made a traffic stop and arrested the suspect.

– 6:05 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of US 10, Amber Township.

– 6:07 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive north of Fisher Road, Hamlin Township.
