Obituary: Nedra Besson, 81, of Scottville.

Nedra Mae Besson, 81, of Scottville passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. She was born October 16, 1939 in Ludington to LeRoy and Doris (Stever) McLain.  Nedra grew up in Ludington and worked at numerous places. Her favorites were the Marine Bar, Gibbs Country House Restaurant, and the Salvation Army. She was a member of the Salvation Army Home League and she loved tending the library at Longfellow Towers. Nedra enjoyed puzzles, the bigger the better! She also loved to cross stitch and had made several elaborate images for her family.  She enjoyed trips to the casino and playing BINGO with friends. She will be remembered for her huge cookie platers at Christmas. Everything was made from scratch and with love. Nedra enjoyed the nightly Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune games as well. 

She will be greatly missed by her children, Jack Steiger of Ludington, Jacqueline Derrick of Scottville, and LaDessa Besson of Lansing; her grandchildren, Dallas, Steven, Jeff, Shyla, Kevin, and Victoria; her great- grandchildren, Cameron, Trent, Erik, Kairi, and Letty.

Besides her parents, Nedra was preceded in death by her husband, Bill;her daughter, Ruth Jean Overdorf; and her three siblings, Paul, Paulette, and Butch.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life is being planned for next spring.
