Ludington Ave., Lakeshore Dr. construction to begin next week.

LUDINGTON — Construction work on portions of Ludington Avenue and Lakeshore Drive will begin on Monday, Sept. 14 and is expected to continue through June 18, 2021. The $1.1 million Michigan Department of Transportation project includes cold milling and resurfacing with sidewalk ramp upgrades on US 10 (Ludington Avenue) from Rowe Street to James Street and M-116 (Ludington Avenue and Lakeshore Drive) from James Street to Tinkham Avenue. It includes a three year materials and workmanship pavement warranty. 

During the project, motorists can expect delays. The outside lanes of Ludington Avenue within the construction zone will be closed throughout the project, which will mean limited parking on Ludington Avenue in downtown Ludington. Pedestrian access to the streets will also be limited. 

The project will start on the north side of Ludington Avenue and the east side of Lakeshore Drive.
