PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested Saturday evening, May 23, after he reportedly crossed the centerline on Johnson Road nearly striking a fully marked sheriff’s patrol vehicle head-on, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The man faces charges of analogues possession and operating while intoxicated. The arrest occurred at 7:19 p.m. at the intersection of Nelson and Johnson, Cole said.

– 6:30 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township.

– 8:46 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, 3900 block of West US 10, Amber Township.

– 9:22 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), an 18-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault and resisting/obstructing police, 600 block of East Melendy Street, City of Ludington.

Saturday, May 23, 2020:

– 10:24 a.m., (Michigan State Police), larceny of a trailer used for hauling cars, 2000 block of Hawley Road, Riverton Township.

– 11 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.

– 12:59 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 north of the Oceana Drive, Summit Township.

– 1:07 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of the US 31 overpass, Amber Township.

– 1:10 p.m., (LPD), a 39-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a felony warrant in Van Buren County for third-degree criminal sexual conduct, 200 block of Second Street, City of Ludington.

– 1:45 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.

– 4:12 p.m., (LPD), an 18-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault, disorderly conduct and bond violation, 100 block of Fifth Street, City of Ludington.

– 4:49 pm., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $10.70 in fuel stolen, Ludington EZ Mart, 5900 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.

– 7:07 p.m., (LPD), a 31-year-old Ludington man was cited for disorderly conduct/loud music, 300 block of South Washington Avenue, City of Ludington.

– 7:11 p.m., (MCSO), stolen paddleboat, North Island Drive, Hamlin Township. The complainant reported a blue/white Waterwheeler ASL paddleboat stolen within the past week.

– 8:15 p.m., (MCSO), retail fraud, Walmart, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. A report will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office related to two Oceana County men for an alleged retail fraud. Both subjects left the scene before arrival of deputies.

– 11:23 p.m,. (MCSO), a 36-year-old Flint woman was arrested following a traffic stop for third-offense DWLS, US 10 near Dennis Road, Amber Township.

Sunday, May 24, 2020:

– 8:24 p.m., (LPD), a 21-year-old Sterling Heights woman was arrested for driving with an expired license, North Lakeshore Drive, City of Ludington.

– 8:46 p.m., (MCSO), retail fraud, Walmart, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. A report will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office related to a 23-year-old Grand Rapids man following a reported theft. The subject left the scene prior to the arrival of deputies.

– 10:30 p.m., (LPD), a 57-year-old Ludington male was arrested for public intoxication and indecent exposure, West Filer and South William streets, City of Ludington.

Monday, May 25, 2020:

– 12:03 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, City of Scottville.

– 7:32 a.m., (MCSO), a 43 year-old Scottville man was arrested for second-offense DWLS after deputies were called to a reported stolen motorcycle, 200 block of South Crowley Street, City of Scottville. The reporting party was a family member. An MCSO deputy spotted the motorcycle, which then drove through yards, in effort to hide from the deputy. The deputy captured the driver as he was walking through yards as he was attempting to get back to the residence he had originally left.

– 11:35 a.m., (MSP), a 44-year-old Ludington man was cited for operating without insurance, US 10 near Atkinson Drive, Pere Marquette Township.

– 7:03 p.m., (LPD), a 25-year-old Ludington man was arrested for resisting/obstructing police, 500 block of East Foster Street, City of Ludington.

– 10:51 p.m., (LPD), a 24-year-old Wyoming, Michigan man was arrested for DWLS, East Ludington Avenue and South Madison Street, City of Ludington.
