Collecting cans/bottles for MacPhail Field.

SCOTTVILLE — Cans and bottles came in by the truckload today to help raise money for repairs at MacPhail Field. The returnables drive was organized by Scottville Police Department Officer Katrina Skinner who has volunteered her time to collect the items and eventually turn them in. She said the money raised will go towards improvements to the field including restroom roof repairs, additional gravel, painting and field repairs.

An additional collection will take place Tuesday, May 26 from 3 to 6 p.m. Additional dates may be added.

Those wishing to donate cans and bottles may enter through the east driveway. Barrels will be set up for cans and bottles. Donors will then exit out the west driveway.

Those with questions may contact Officer  Skinner at 231-852-0008. Special arrangements can also be made to pick can donations within city limits.
