LUDINGTON — The following activity took place recently in Mason County’s 79th District Court.

Felony arraignments

  • Shriver

    Kody Michael Shriver, 28, of 7919 E. Navajo Trail, Branch Township, was arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and charged with aggravated stalking. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 13, 2020. Bail set at $10,000, cash surety.

  • Gates

    Justin Ray Gates, 30, of Ludington (no address listed), was arrested on May 13, 2020 by MCSO for unlawfully driving away a motor vehicle and habitual offender. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 27, 2020. Bail set at $10,000, cash surety.

  • Grigg

    Garrett Norman Grigg, 23, of 1345 S. Hall Road SW, South Boardman, was arrested May 7, 2020 by Ludington Police Department (LPD) and charged with assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 20, 2020. Bail set at $7,500, 10% deposit.

  • Seth Wayne Bretschneider, 18, of 301 S. Crowley St., Scottville, was arrested May 6, 2020 by MCSO and charged with two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and one count of domestic violence. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 20, 2020. Bail set at $2,500, personal recognize.
  • Williamson

    Troy Albert Williamson, 51, of Ludington (no address listed), was arrested May 12, 2020 by Ludington Police Department and charged with assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 27, 2020. Bail set at $5,000, 10% deposit.

Misdemeanor arraignments

  • Travis Scott Plotts, 27, of 10782 N. Bingham Ave., Bitely, was arrested May 7, 2020 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office for malicious destruction of personal property. A pretrial hearing will be held at a later date. Bail set at $2,500, personal recognize.
  • Carl Lee Herring, 19, of 215 Hart Street, Hart, was arrested on March 29, 2020 by MCSO and charged with assault and battery. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for May 13. Bail set at $2,500, personal recognize.
  • Bryan Scott Fenner, 29, of 5114 N. Cleveland St., Fountain, was arrested May 9, 2020 by MCSO and charged with domestic violence. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. on June 8, 2020. Bail set at $2,500, personal recognize.

Sentencings

  • Kelley Rae Chapman, 53, of 227 Lakeside Dr., Ludington, was found guilty on May 13 of malicious destruction of personal property and was sentenced to two days in jail with two days credit for time served; 30 days discretionary jail for six months; $595 in costs and fines.
  • Kim Renee Beardslee, 60, of 1002 E. Mitchell St., Ludington, was found guilty on May 13, 2020 for operating a motor vehicle with a high blood content and failing to stop after an accident and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served: Count 1, 180 days discretionary jail for two years. Count 2, 90 days discretionary jail for two years. Costs and fines, $1,475.
  • Mary Katherine Henry, 65, of 180 Harbor Dr., Ludington, was found guilty on May 13, 2020 for operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $895 in costs and fines.
  • Jeannette Lorraine Blow, 52, 3694 W. Hidden Forest Dr., Amber Township, was found guilty on May 13, 2020 of operating a vehicle while impaired on liquor and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $895 fines and costs.
