PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 30-year-old Covert, Michigan man was arrested for vehicle theft after Mason County sheriff’s deputies responded to a “suspicious vehicle” call in the 5600 block of West US 10 Wednesday, May 13, around 1:30 a.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“Upon checking the vehicle registration, deputies learned the vehicle was stolen out of Kalamazoo County,” Sheriff Cole said. “The vehicle, a 1994 Astro van, was turned over to Kalamazoo authorities.”

In a separate incident:

–  7:27 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 30-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a felony warrant and charges of interfering with electronic communications and domestic violence, South Sherman and Fourth streets, City of Ludington. He was arrested after police were called to a noise complaint.
