Manistee National Forest Festival cancelled.

MANISTEE — The Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce announced today that the 2020 Manistee National Forest Festival has been cancelled.

“I am deeply saddened about the decision to postpone the festival as it’s a long-standing summer tradition for our community and a boost to our local economy,” said Stacie Bytwork, president of the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce.  “The festival has a huge economic impact on our businesses and provides fundraising events for our non-profit organizations.  The Chamber asks if you are able to, please continue to support local businesses and organizations during this difficult time.

“The Chamber would like to thank our sponsors, the committee, community event organizers, volunteers, and partner organizations for their support and assistance.  No one could have anticipated COVID-19 and the effects that it has caused to many businesses, our healthcare systems, law enforcement, non-profit and governmental organizations, and individuals.”
