BRANCH TOWNSHIP — A 46-year-old Holland, Michigan man was arrested after allegedly running from a Mason County sheriff’s deputy following a theft of a cell phone from a vehicle Friday, May 1, shortly before 4 a.m. in 1500 block of South Walhalla Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

A deputy arrived at the scene following a 911 call and observed the suspect run from the caller’s yard, said Cole. He was captured following a brief foot chase into the woods and was found to have the caller’s cell phone.

– 10:05 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 26-year-old Ludington man was arrested for a felony warrant for drug possession and a warrant for parole absconder, 600 block of East Melendy Street, City of Ludington.

– 7:17 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle rollover crash, no injury, Reek Road near Federal Road #6722, Custer Township.

– 10:54 p.m., (LPD), a 26-year-old Ludington man was arrested for aggravated stalking, resisting and opposing arrest, and probation violation, North William Street, City of Ludington.

Saturday, May 2, 2020:

– 3:33 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Quarterline Road, Amber Township.

– 6:18 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Stiles Road, Amber Township.

Sunday, May 3, 2020:

– 3:18 a.m., (LPD), a 19-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, West Tinkham Avenue and North Lewis Street, City of Ludington.

– 5:30 a.m., (Michigan State Police), car/deer crash, Landon Road near Barothy Road, Branch Township.

– 7:14 p.m., (MSP), a 64-year-old Wellston woman was cited for refusing to obey a traffic order at the scene of a serious motorcycle/deer crash, northbound US 31 Pere Marquette Highway off-ramp, Pere Marquette Township.
