LUDINGTON — The following activity took place recently in Mason County’s courts.

79th District Court arraignments:

Felonies

LeClair

Joseph Michael LeClair, 59, of 3516 W. Rasmussen Road, Pere Marquette Township, was arrested on April 23, 2020 by Michigan State Police, Hart Post, and charged with breaking and entering a building with intent to commit a felony or a larceny therein. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 6, 2020. Bail set at $5,000, cash.

Esparza

Eleasar Esparza Jr., 18, of 5634 W. Johnson Rd., Pere Marquette Township, was arrested on April 23, 2020 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office and charged with two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 6, 2020. Bail set at $7,500, 10 percent.

Smith

Joshua-Robert Steve Smith, 24, of 926 E. Tinkham Ave., Apt. 308, Ludington, was arrested on April 24, 2020 by Ludington Police Department and charged with carrying a concealed weapon. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 6, 2020. Bail, $7,500, 10 percent.

 

Misdemeanors

William Marion O’Connor, 40, of 109 E. Foster St., Apt. 4, Ludington, was arrested April 21, 2020 by Ludington Police Department and charged with malicious destruction of property. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on June 8, 2020. Bail set at $2,500, personal

recognizance.

Brian Douglas Mann, 28, of 719 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was arrested on April 23, 2020, by Michigan State Police, Hart Post, and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated or under the influence of a controlled substance (OWI). A pretrial hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on June 8, 2020. Bail, $2,500, personal recognizance.

Justin Michael Hasenbank, 22, of 701 N. New William St., Ludington, was arrested April 23, 2020 by Ludington Police Department and charged with OWI. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on June 1, 2020. Bail, $2,500, personal recognizance.

51st Circuit Court sentencings:

Sekenske

Christopher Joseph Sekenske Jr., 24, of 206 N. Washington Ave., Apt. 3, Ludington, was found guilty on March 10, 2020 on the charges of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and felling a police officer fourth degree. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail, with 75 days credit for time served.

Badour

Westley Michael Badour, 22, of 1238 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Road, Idlewild, was found guilty on Feb. 18, 2020 for two counts of criminal sexual conduct third degree, involving a person between the ages of 13 and 15. He was sentenced to 4 to 15 years in prison with credit for 204 days served.
