WMOM sold.

LUDINGTON — The Michigan Association of Broadcasters has reported that Pentwater/Ludington-based radio station WMOM has been sold to Hit Radio Media, LLC of Greenville. The application was filed with the Federal Communications Commission on March 25, 2020.

Hit Radio Media is owned by Jim Chesley of Greenville, Steve Leach of Cape Coral, Fla., and Jeff Lobdell of Grand Rapids.  Chesley is a director and stockholder in Packer Radio Greenville, Inc., which owns WGLN-AM/WGLM-FM in Greenville/Lakeview..  He is also a member of Packer Radio WION, LLC, which owns WION-AM in Ionia.

WMOM had previously been owned, and founded, by Bayview Broadcasting. In April 2019 the radio station abruptly went off the air. Owner Patrick Lopeman cited that injuries from a car accident prevented him from continuing to operate the radio station.

The radio went on the air recently and began playing Christmas music.
