MCC closes playgrounds.

SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central School District posted a notification on its mobile app and its website today that it has closed playgrounds located on school property. This includes the playgrounds at Scottville Elementary, MCC Upper Elementary, and Victory Early Childhood Center. Notices have been placed around the vicinity of the playgrounds stating that the playgrounds have been closed in accordance with Gov. Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-21.

“At this time, we are closing our playgrounds as we cannot keep the equipment sanitized and we cannot assure that proper social distancing is adhered to when using our playground equipment,” the notice states. “Thank you for understanding as we all work to keep everyone safe. Please stay home.”
