  • AFFEW Friends of the Environment, Earth Day Celebration, scheduled for April 18, has been cancelled. Alternative programs are being planned for future dates.
  • Al-Anon Meetings, support for families and friends of alcoholics, in Ludington and Scottville are suspended until further notice. Call 231-632-6343 for more information.   • Community Table, at Scottville United Methodist Church, suspended until further notice.
  • Custer Township, office is closed through April. Board of Trustees will evaluate situation May 1. April board meeting is tentatively scheduled for online.
  • District #10 Health Department, all offices open by appointment only. More information here.
  • Fin and Feather Club of Mason County, indoor meetings and gatherings are cancelled for the month of April. This includes the board meeting, regular club meeting, CPL class, and Hunter Safety Class. The open skeet and trap ranges will also be closed the month of April, along with Cowboy Action Shooting, and TWAW meetings until further notice. Ranges will remain open for member use only. If you are sick, don’t use the ranges. If you use the ranges, please follow standard protocol in dealing with COVID-19. (Wash your hands, maintain distance from others, etc.)
  • trap and skeet activities suspended until April 3. Check Fin and Feather club website and Facebook for further announcements; CPL class scheduled for April 10 and 11 has been postponed tentatively until May 8, 9.
  • The Grand, open for take out, Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.: 231-843-9240.
  • Griswold Family Dentistry of Scottville, closed tentatively until April 6. The office will be available for emergency care only, call 231.757.4722.
  • Hamlin Township, offices closed beginning March 24, 2020 until April 11, 2020. Hamlin Township Transfer Site will be closed on Wednesdays but will be open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. No hall rentals. Please check hamlintownship.org for further information.

  • Mason County Officers Association Meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2020 has been cancelled. 
  • Mason County Road Commission office has been closed to the public.
  • Mason County Sheriff’s Office lobby is closed to the public; no jail visitations.
  • Metalworks and Fablite are closed through April 13.
  • Oakview Medical Care Facility, all non-medical visits have been suspended.
  • Oceana County Agriculture and Natural Resource Banquet has been rescheduled to April 23 at the New Era Reformed Church.
  • Oceana County Council on Aging, meals and social activities at the senior center, along with outings, have been cancelled until April 6. Takeout/delivery meals and bussing are available.
  • Oceana County governmental buildings are closed until April 6; county board of commissioners meeting scheduled for March 25 has been cancelled. 
  • Oceana County Medical Care Facility, all non-medical visits have been suspended.
  • Oceana County Road Commission offices are restricted from the public; road commission meeting scheduled for March 25 has been cancelled.
  • Oceana County Sheriff’s Office lobby is closed to the public; no jail visitations.
  • Pere Marquette Charter Township, all offices open by appointment only. See related story.
  • Preferred Credit Union, Pere Marquette Township, is open by drive-through only with lobbies accessible by appointment only. ATMs and online services also available.
  • Riverflats Coffee & Tea, Pere Marquette Township, open for pickup and delivery until 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

  • West Shore Bank, all branch offices open by appointment only. Drive-up, ATM and online services still available.
  • West Shore Community College, all campus facilities, including Recreation Center and ice arena are closed to the public, with some exceptions. See details here.

School meal drop-off sites and times

Mason County:

Mason County’s three public school districts are distributing free breakfast and lunch to children ages 18-years and younger (26-years and younger for special needs students) during the mandatory closing period. The meals are free and open to children from any school district. The efforts are collaboration between the school districts’ food services and transportation departments.

Ludington Area School District sites (March 16 – April 3):

  • Lakeview Elementary, 502 W. Haight St., City of Ludington, 11 to 11:25 a.m.
  • Foster Elementary, 507 E. Foster St., City of Ludington, 11:30 to 11:55 a.m.
  • Pere Marquette Early Childhood Center, 1115 S. Madison St., City of Ludington, noon to 12:25 p.m.
  • Tamarac Village main entrance, 2875 N. Lakeshore Dr., Hamlin Township, 11 to 11:30 a.m.

(For MCC areas: For specific dietary restrictions/allergies, contact MaryAnn Nielsen, director of MCC Food Service, at 231-757-5721. Weekend meals will be distributed on Fridays. Multiple days can be picked up but are limited to that day’s meal. Parents can pick up on behalf of children and families can pick up for other families’ children. )

Mason County Eastern sites (March 16- March 27):

  • Hesperia Community Schools, meals being delivered along bus routes, contact Dan Bailey, transportation coordinator, 231-854-9301.
  • Pentwater Public Schools, Days Inn, 7576 S. Pere Marquette Highway (furnished by Ludington Area Schools, see other school sites for pick-up locations).
  • Shelby Public Schoools (until April 5), Monday through Friday. Those without transportation should call 231-861-0317.

  • Cornerstone Baptist Church (http://cbcludington.com/) in Ludington in-person services and activities suspended until Sunday, April 5. Live-streaming of services can be seen on Facebook starting this Sunday through April 5.
  • Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Ludington, closed to public worship or gatherings over 10 until at least May 15.
  • Grace Episcopal Church, Ludington, closed to public worship or gatherings over 10 until at least May 15.
  • Lighthouse Baptist Church of Hamlin Township, services and activities cancelled through Wednesday, April 1. Broadcasting of services can be seen on Facebook www.facebook.com/MyLighthouseBaptist/  on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m.  Resuming services Sunday, April 5 at 10 a.m. http://www.LogCabinChurch.net)
  • Mason County Reformed Church, all services cancelled, office closed, until March 31, pending review. Sunday services can be viewed online at www.mcrchurch.org beginning at 9 a.m.
  • Our Savior Lutheran Church of Scottville has cancelled all services until April 6. Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 11 has been cancelled.
  • People’s Church of Ludington, all services and activities cancelled until further notice.
  • Prayer & Praise Assembly of God, Ludington, all services and activities cancelled until further notice. Church services will stream on Facebook Sunday at 10 a.m.
  • Radiant Church of Ludington, in-person services and activities are suspended.   • Redeemer Lutheran Church, Scottville, all services and activities cancelled until further notice.
  • St. Simon Catholic Church, all masses and Adoration cancelled. The church is open for private prayer in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. The Cathedral of St. Andrew will continue to livestream Mass on FOX 17, the diocesan website and Facebook page at 10 a.m. Sunday.
  • St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ludington, all services cancelled until April 5. Easter egg hunt has been cancelled. More information can be found on Facebook or calling 231-843-9188.
  • St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Custer, all masses cancelled. The church is open for private prayer during regularly scheduled mass time. The Cathedral of St. Andrew will continue to livestream Mass on FOX 17, the diocesan website and Facebook page at 10 a.m. Sunday.
  • Sugar Ridge Church, Scottville, formal services cancelled. In-home worship is encouraged. Links to messages and Bible readings will be posted to Facebook. The remaining Lenten suppers have been cancelled.
  • Trinity Church, Ludington, face-to-face meetings suspended. Services can be viewed on Facebook beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
  • United Methodist Church of Ludington, all activities cancelled until April.
  • Victory Baptist Church, Victory Township, worship services temporarily suspended. Daily devotions and Sunday worship can be viewed on Facebook.
  • Victory Lutheran Church, Victory Township, prayer and praise worship every Sunday at 9 a.m. on Facebook. Confirmation class meeting via Zoom each Sunday at 10 a.m.
