  • AFFEW Friends of the Environment, Earth Day Celebration, scheduled for April 18, has been cancelled. Alternative programs are being planned for future dates.
  • City of Ludington, all offices open by appointment only. See related story.

  • Community Table Meals served at Community Church of Ludington, suspended. Check for updates on www.Facebook.com/CommunityTableLudington.
  • Community Table, at Scottville United Methodist Church, suspended until further notice.
  • Crossroads Church of Custer, all activities have been suspended until April 10. Sunday worship at 10 a.m. will be streaming online via Facebook page (facebook.com/crossroadsmasoncounty) and website (crossroadsmasoncounty.info).
  • Fin and Feather Club of Mason County, trap and skeet activities suspended until April 3. Check Fin and Feather club website and Facebook for further announcements.
  • Flipstar Gymnastics recreational classes and team practices are canceled through April 5. Classes will resume April 6.
  • Griswold Family Dentistry of Scottville, closed tentatively until April 6. The office will be available for emergency care only, call 231.757.4722.
  • Hamlin Township offices are open with limited person-to-person contact. Enter through township hall. Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 19, will be limited to 10 people.
  • The Ladder Community Center, Shelby, open for pick-up lunches until further notice. Click here for further details.
  • Lenz-Balder Insurance, Ludington, office is closed to the public, but still open for business. Visit www.lenbalderins.com for contact information.

  • Letha Fulton School of Dance, all classes suspended, re-starting on Monday, April 6.
  • Lakeshore Food Club, 920 E. Tinkham Ave., Ludington closed through Thursday. Will reopen Friday, March 20 for drive up services. See related article here.
  • Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce office, closed through April 6.
  • Ludington Area Center for the Arts, closed until Monday, April 6. Updates on rescheduling and refunds can be found by emailing Kali at info@ludingtonartscenter.org or Andy at director@ludingtonartscenter.org.
  • Mason County Courts are closed to non-essential services. See related story here.
  • Mason County Historical Society winter speaker series event, March 19, has been cancelled.
  • Mason County Road Commission office has been closed to the public.
  • Mason County Sheriff’s Office lobby is closed to the public; no jail visitations.
  • Oakview Medical Care Facility, all non-medical visits have been suspended.
  • Oceana County Agriculture and Natural Resource Banquet has been rescheduled to April 23 at the New Era Reformed Church.
  • Oceana County Council on Aging, meals and social activities at the senior center, along with outings, have been cancelled until April 6. Takeout/delivery meals and bussing are available.
  • Oceana County governmental buildings are restricted; county board of commissioners meeting scheduled for March 25 has been cancelled. 
  • Oceana County Medical Care Facility, all non-medical visits have been suspended.
  • Oceana County Road Commission offices are restricted from the public; road commission meeting scheduled for March 25 has been cancelled.
  • Oceana County Sheriff’s Office lobby is closed to the public; no jail visitations.
  • Pere Marquette Charter Township, all offices open by appointment only. See related story.
  • Safe Harbor Credit Union lobby will be closed beginning March 17. Drive-through, online, phone and ATM services are available. See related story.
  • Sandcastles Children Museum will be closed from Saturday, March 14 through Thursday, March 26.
  • West Central Spring Horticulture, March 23 meeting at New Era Reformed Church has been cancelled.
  • Victory Township, all hall rentals suspended until June 1; April 6 board of trustees meeting is cancelled.
  • Village of Shelby buildings are closed to the general public until further notice.
  • West Shore Bank, all branch offices open by appointment only. Drive-up, ATM and online services still available.
  • West Shore Community College, all campus facilities, including Recreation Center and ice arena are closed to the public, with some exceptions. See details here.

School meal drop-off sites and times

Mason County:

Mason County’s three public school districts are distributing free breakfast and lunch to children ages 18-years and younger (26-years and younger for special needs students) during the mandatory closing period. The meals are free and open to children from any school district. The efforts are collaboration between the school districts’ food services and transportation departments.

Ludington Area School District sites (March 16 – April 3):

  • Lakeview Elementary, 502 W. Haight St., City of Ludington, 11 to 11:25 a.m.
  • Foster Elementary, 507 E. Foster St., City of Ludington, 11:30 to 11:55 a.m.
  • Pere Marquette Early Childhood Center, 1115 S. Madison St., City of Ludington, noon to 12:25 p.m.
  • Tamarac Village main entrance, 2875 N. Lakeshore Dr., Hamlin Township, 11 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Hamlin Township Hall, 3775 N. Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Township, 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
  • Days Inn, 7576 S. Pere Marquette Township, Summit Township, 11 to 11:30 a.m.

  • Free Soil Community Center, 8480 N. Democrat St., Village of Free Soil, noon to 12:45 p.m.
  • Grant Township Fire Department, 835 E. Hoague Road, Grant Township, 1 to 1:45 a.m.
  • Branch Township Fire Department, 6697 E. US 10, Walhalla, 11 to 11:45 a.m.
  • Evergreen Church, 7396 S. Evergreen Road, Pleasant Plains Township, Lake County, 12:15 to 1 p.m.

(For MCC areas: For specific dietary restrictions/allergies, contact MaryAnn Nielsen, director of MCC Food Service, at 231-757-5721. Weekend meals will be distributed on Fridays. Multiple days can be picked up but are limited to that day’s meal. Parents can pick up on behalf of children and families can pick up for other families’ children. )

Mason County Eastern sites (March 16- March 27):

  • Sherman Township Hall, 3854 E. Main St., Village of Fountain, 9 to 10 a.m.

Oceana County:

  • Hesperia Community Schools, meals being delivered along bus routes, contact Dan Bailey, transportation coordinator, 231-854-9301.
  • Pentwater Public Schools, Days Inn, 7576 S. Pere Marquette Highway (furnished by Ludington Area Schools, see other school sites for pick-up locations).
  • Shelby Public Schoools (until April 5), Monday through Friday. Those without transportation should call 231-861-0317.

– Oceana County Early Learning Center, 568 N. Oceana Dr., Hart, 10-11 a.m.

– Trinity Lutheran Church, Stony Lake Rd., New Era: 9:30-10 a.m.

– Lake Tahoe Community Center New Era, 10:10-10:40 a.m.

– Barnett Station, Shelby, 9:15-9:45 a.m.

– Chapita Hills, Shelby, 9:47-10:30 a.m.

Churches

  • Community Church of Ludington has cancelled Sunday services until further notice. Church office is also closed.
  • Cornerstone Baptist Church (http://cbcludington.com/) in Ludington in-person services and activities suspended until Sunday, April 5. Live-streaming of services can be seen on Facebook starting this Sunday through April 5.
  • Lighthouse Baptist Church of Hamlin Township, services and activities cancelled through Wednesday, April 1. Broadcasting of services can be seen on Facebook www.facebook.com/MyLighthouseBaptist/  on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m.  Resuming services Sunday, April 5 at 10 a.m. http://www.LogCabinChurch.net)
  • Mason County Reformed Church, all services cancelled, office closed, until March 31, pending review. Sunday services can be viewed online at www.mcrchurch.org beginning at 9 a.m.
  • Our Savior Lutheran Church of Scottville has cancelled all services until April 6.
  • People’s Church of Ludington, all services and activities cancelled until further notice.
  • Prayer & Praise Assembly of God, Ludington, all services and activities cancelled until further notice. Church services will stream on Facebook Sunday at 10 a.m.
  • Radiant Church of Ludington, face-to-face services suspended. Services can be viewed on Mason County Press Facebook page, Sundays at 9:30 and 11 a.m.
  • Redeemer Lutheran Church, Scottville, all services and activities cancelled until further notice.
  • St. Simon Catholic Church, all masses and Adoration cancelled. The church is open for private prayer in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
  • St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ludington, all services cancelled for the remainder of March. More information can be found on Facebook or calling 231-843-9188
  • Trinity Church, Ludington, face-to-face meetings suspended. Services can be viewed on Facebook beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
  • United Methodist Church of Ludington, all activities cancelled until April.
  • Victory Baptist Church, Victory Township, worship services temporarily suspended. Daily devotions and Sunday worship can be viewed on Facebook.
