LHS senior wins Pure Michigan and the 101st art contest.

LUDINGTON — On Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, Ludington High School senior Mackenzie Reed was presented a legislative tribue from the State of Michigan. Mackenzie’s painting featuring cherries was the winner of the “Pure Michigan and the 101st” student art competition.

The competition was open to students in Michigan’s House of Representatives 101st District, which includes Mason, Manistee, Benzie, and Leelanau counties. State Rep. Jack O’Malley presented the legislative tribute which was signed by himself, Sen. Curt VanderWall, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist.

Reed’s painting will be displayed in the 101st House District office in Lansing.
