Brrrewfest to take place Saturday.

LUDINGTON — The sixth annual Pure Ludington Brrrewfest will take place Saturday, Jan. 25 at Rotary Park. The event will feature 25 Michigan crafters showcasing beer, cider, mead and wine.

The event is hosted by the Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce and presented by OxyChem. Festivities will also feature live music from Mike Lenich and the band White Rabbit, and merchandise from Gordy’s Skate Shop and Red Door Gallery.

Brrrewfest tickets are $30 in advance at My North Tickets, and $35 at the gate. Entry includes six drink tokens and a 5-ounce commemorative tasting glass.

Among the participating crafters are four locals: Jamesport Brewing Co., Ludington Bay Brewing Co., Starving Artist Brewing and Love Wines Winery. New to the 2020 festival are Pigeon Hill Brewing, North Channel Brewing and Paw Paw Brewing. Each will be bringing some crowd favorites, as well as special seasonal brews for sampling.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Friends of the Ludington State Park. The Friends group hosts programs and activities, and adds volunteer support where it is needed at the Ludington State Park for items that are not traditionally funded by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, which manages the park. Volunteers work closely with the park’s management team to identify needs and implement solutions.
