Crash victim helps track down fleeing drunk driver.

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — The victim of a drunk driving crash helped police track down the suspect Thursday, Jan. 2, shortly after 10 a.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

No injuries occurred in the crash.

“A 68-year-old Holland, Michigan man was arrested after he reportedly struck a vehicle at US 31 and Sugar Grove Road,” Cole said. “He then left the scene and was followed by the other driver who called 911 to report the crash. He was located by deputies and arrested for OWI (operating while intoxicated), second offense.”
