Possible medical condition causes Rath Avenue crash.

LUDINGTON — A possible medical condition was likely the cause of a two vehicle crash on North Rath Avenue Thursday afternoon. According to Ludington Police Department Sgt. Sue Maltbie, an Audi A-4 driven by an elderly male had turned north onto Rath Avenue after traveling westbound on Filer Street. The Audi then crossed the centerline and struck a parked unoccupied Buick Enclave. The driver of the Audi then got out of his vehicle, walked up to the Buick and apparently collapsed.

Maltbie said it appeared the man had suffered from a medical condition. He was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by ambulance.

Emergency units responding to the scene included Ludington Police Department, Ludington Fire Department, and Life EMS.
