West Shore School News is a presentation of the West Shore Educational Service District.

LUDINGTON — The West Shore Educational Service District’s Horizons class teaches young adults, ages 20 to 26, with special needs how to increase their independence, their vocational skills and their life skills. The class is housed at Ludington High School but much of the students’ days are spent in the community. Many of the students have jobs, under the supervision of the ESD team. A similar class is offered in Oceana County.

The West Shore Educational Service District is funded through the support of taxpayers in Mason, Lake, and Oceana counties.
