Starving Artist Brewer Experience to benefit food club.

LUDINGTON — The Lakeshore Food Club has teamed up with Starving Artist Brewing in offering a gift opportunity this holiday season for a beer enthusiast. From now until December 18, community members have the chance to bid on a Starving Artist Brewer Experience in an online auction.

“The winner of the auction will spend the day with Andy Thomas of Starving Artist and help craft Feeding Frenzy, a signature beer that will be featured at the Lakeshore Food Club’s Empty Bowl event in March 2020,” said Kate Lietz, program coordinator at the Lakeshore Food Club. The experience is for two individuals and will take place in mid to late January of 2020. The experience will last six to eight hours and will include lunch, as well as other extras. Both individuals will need to be 21-years-old or older.

“The Lakeshore Food Club is grateful to Andy Thomas and Starving Artist Brewing for offering this exciting experience. All proceeds from the online auction will benefit the Lakeshore Food Club and will support our mission to provide dignified access to nutritious food and resources to those in need in our community,” said Sarah MacMahon, program director for the LFC.

The Empty Bowls event in March 2020 will feature local food, live entertainment, an online auction and the Feeding Frenzy beer, made during the Starving Artist Brewing Experience. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lakeshore Food Club. Tickets will go on sale in January and each ticket will include a locally crafted ceramic bowl, a reminder of the food insecurity that many Mason County residents face.

The Starving Artist Brewer Experience Auction will run online from now until December 18.  To bid on this experience, please go to https://www.auctria.com/auction/starvingartistfoodclubbrew.
