Historical society honors volunteers.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Historical Society held its annual meeting Thursday, Dec. 5. During the meeting, the 82-year-0ld organization honored some of its volunteers. Father and son Gary and Josh Powers were recognized as Historic White Pine Village volunteers of the year for their work with the village’s sawmill. Mike Breybrook was recognized for his volunteerism as an interpreter at the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum. Outgoing board member Carol Ferguson was also recognized. Jason Kennedy was elected as a new board member.

The annual dinner was held at the United Methodist Church of Ludington.
