BRANCH TOWNSHIP – A needle and syringe were found by Mason County sheriff’s deputies inside a vehicle during a traffic stop on US 10 and Budzynski Road Tuesday, Nov. 26, shortly after 2:30 a.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

A 32-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while under the influence of drugs and possession of suboxone.

Deputies responded to a citizen’s call reporting an erratic driver. “A sheriff’s deputy in the area located the vehicle and made a traffic stop after observing the vehicle reportedly weaving down the road,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. “Deputies also located a used needle/syringe and suspected suboxone in the vehicle.”

Suboxone is a prescription medication used for addiction to narcotic pain relievers and is used for treating pain.

– 6 p.m., (MSP), car/mailbox crash, 3000 block of North Stiles Road, Victory Township.

– 8:32 p.m., (LPD), a 35-year-old Ludington man was arrested for driving while license suspended (DWLS), South Washington Avenue and East Loomis Street, City of Ludington.

– 9:30 a.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Jebavy Drive near Fisher Road, Hamlin Township.
