Music series to benefit July 4 Freedom Festival.

LUDINGTON — The Ludington Area Jaycees has set dates for the annual Light Up the Night Music Series- a fundraiser for the Freedom Festival Fireworks Fund. There will be live music at a different location each Wednesday night for six weeks with local musicians donating their time and the sponsoring establishments giving a donation to the Fireworks Fund.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle and past Freedom Festival t-shirts for sale at discounted prices with proceeds also benefiting the fireworks fund.

Performances will be from 6:30-8:30 pm and the schedule is as follows:

  • Wednesday, November 6: Mike Luusua and his Amazing Invisible Orchestra, Blu Moon, 125 S. James St.
  • Wednesday, November 13: Redux at Sandbar, 203 S. James St. 
  • Wednesday, November 20: Fremont John at Ludington Bay Brewing Co., 515 S. James St.
  • Wednesday, November 27: Adam Knudsen at Ludington Pub, 209 S. James St.
  • Wednesday, December 4: Tom Zatarga at Jamesport Brewing Co., 410 S. James St.
  • Wednesday, December 11: Canopy Space at The Mitten, 109 W. Ludington Ave.
