Ludington to continue to opt out of pot sales.

LUDINGTON — City Council voted Monday 6-1 to continue the prohibition of of recreational marijuana businesses in the city. Earlier in the year the council had voted to prohibit the businesses but also agreed to revisit the topic following the recommendation of a special committee.

That committee met several times and received public comment.

City council chose between two resolutions: One to continue opting out of recreational marijuana sales or to develop local regulations in order to allow licensed recreational marijuana facilities.

Councilor Angela Serna was the lone nay vote.
