79th District Court sentencings, posted Oct. 24, 2019.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Kyle Scott Janicki, 38, of 4035 Windward Forest Trl., Manistee, pleaded guilty Aug. 6 to second offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend victim’s impact panel; must attend AA two times per week for one year; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must attend substance abuse counseling; vehicle must be immobilized or forfeited;  and $1,925 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). 

-Donald Ray Krause, 53, of 6736 N. Claeys Rd., Sherman Township, pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to failure to stop at scene of an accident and driving while license suspended. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must obtain substance abuse counseling; $125 in fines/costs; and $533.26 in restitution. Conviction is reportable to SOS. Charges of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance), operating an unregistered vehicle and unlawful license plates were dismissed.
