LUDINGTON – An 18-year-old Mears man and a 21-year-old Greenville, Ohio woman were transported by Life EMS to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Danaher and Delia streets Thursday, Oct. 10, shortly after 4:30 p.m., according to Ludington Police Chief Mark Barnett.

The Mears man was southbound on Delia Street in a 2000 Ford Taurus when he “blew the yield sign” at the intersection causing an eastbound 2014 Dodge pickup truck to T-bone the Taurus, Barnett said.

The pickup truck was driven by a 40-year-old Ludington who was not injured nor his two passengers.

The driver of the Ford Taurus had to be extricated using Jaws of Life equipment, said Barnett.

A power pole at the southwest corner of the intersection snapped off due to the crash.
