AMBER TOWNSHIP – Tires were slashed on three vehicles parked in a yard in the 100 block of North Stiles Road Monday, Oct. 7, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The crime was reported shortly after 7 a.m. Miscellaneous items were also stolen from the vehicles, Cole said.

– 7:15 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of Dennis Road, Amber Township.

– 11:41 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 46-year-old Ludington man was cited for operating without insurance, South Lavinia and East Melendy streets, City of Ludington.

– 2:40 p.m., (Michigan State Police), two-car crash, no injuries, US 31 and Freeman Road, Free Soil Township.

– 3:03 p.m., (MCSO), ​a 25-year-old homeless man was arrested for retail fraud at Walmart following an investigation by MCSO and Walmart Loss Pretention, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.

– 7:02 p.m., (MCSO), a 37-year-old Branch man was arrested for retail fraud at Walmart following an investigation by the MCSO and Walmart Loss Prevention, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.

– 8:20 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Hansen Road east of Meyers Road, Amber Township.

– 8:20 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Custer and Anthony roads, Eden Township.

– 8:51 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Hansen and Rasmussen roads, Amber Township.

– 8:55 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Pere Marquette Highway and Schlik Road, Summit Township.
