Money bag stolen from shopping cart.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP – A money bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a shopping cart in the Shop N Save parking lot on West US 10 Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 10:30 a.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The victim reported the theft to police. The case remains under investigation, Cole said.

The following is other police activity in Mason County Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019:

– 3:06 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 49-year-old Hart man was arrested for bond violation, 400 block of North Rath Avenue, City of Ludington.

– 7:02 a.m., (LPD), a 32-year-old Ludington woman was cited for having no operator’s license, East Tinkham Avenue, City of Ludington.

– 7:23 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Sippy Road near Federal Forest Road #6332, Logan Township.

– 3:31 p.m., (LPD), a 29-year-old Ludington man was cited for no operator’s license, 6th and Sherman streets, City of Ludington.

– 3:32 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10-31, Amber Township.

– 7:12 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Gordon Road north of Johnson Road, Amber Township.

– 8:41 p.m., (Michigan State Police), car/deer crash, US 31 and Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township.
