79th District Court sentencings, posted Sept. 11, 2019.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

– Richard Roy Hannahs, 58, of 3250 Royalton Heights Rd., St. Joseph, pleaded guilty Sept. 4 to second offense domestic violence and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 24 months of probation; 90 days discretionary jail for two years; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana/controlled substances; 90 days of Soberlink; must attend AA two times per week; subject to random PBTs; and $815 in fines/costs. May perform 75 hours of community service in lieu of fines/costs.  A charge of assault by strangulation was dismissed.

-Joshua Steven Emery, 21, of 342 Second St., Manistee, pleaded guilty Sept. 3 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OUIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-James Joseph Barnett, 50, of 1031 Davis St., Manistee, pleaded guilty Sept. 3 to OUIL and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $870 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of operating with a high blood alcohol content was dismissed.
