79th District Court sentencings, posted Aug. 21, 2019.

LUDINGTON – The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Michael Charles Gould, 55, of 2201 N. Lakeshore Dr., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 13 of impaired driving and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; two years probation; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must complete Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP) and DUI (driving under the influence) II class; no alcohol/drugs for two years; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and $1,075 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Christine Marie Trombley, 47, of 706 Delia St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 13 of impaired driving and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must complete outpatient treatment; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $1,095 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Dalton Joseph Verboam, 27, of 607 E. Danaher St., Ludington; was found guilty Aug. 13 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; two years probation; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must report to jail Dec. 13 if he has not completed Impact Weekend; must pay for and successfully complete one year of Soberlink; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTS; outpatient counseling; and $1,095 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of no insurance was dismissed.

– Christopher Deshawn Armstrong, 21, of 916 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 13 of reckless driving and was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; one year probation; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of no insurance, insecure load/failure to tarp, improper plates and disorderly person were dismissed.

– Raymond James Hugo, 34, of 924 E. Tinkham. Ave., Ludington, pleaded “no contest” June 18 to operating while intoxicated and failure to stop and identify after a vehicle crash and was sentenced Aug. 13 to 31 days in jail with credit for one day served; must serve remaining 30 days of jail beginning Dec. 13 if he has not completed Impact Weekend; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; one year probation; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; must continue outpatient counseling; and $1,320 in fines and costs. Convictions reportable to SOS. Charges of careless driving and a second count of failure to stop and identify after a vehicle crash were dismissed.

– Theresa Rose Marie Knizacky, 22, of 88 Greenbush St., Manistee, was found guilty Aug. 13 of impaired driving and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend VIP; must complete DUI II outpatient program; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $895 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of transporting open intoxicants was dismissed.

– Jammie Lynn Wagner, 38, of 571 E. US 10, Scottville, was found guilty Aug. 13 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $679.21 in fines, costs and restitution.

Dismissal

– David Roger Jensen, 55, of 412 Thornwild Dr., Scottville, one count of second-offense driving while license suspended was dismissed Aug. 13. “Defendant pleaded to a civil infraction,” court records state.
