Suspect allegedly flees scene of stolen vehicle crash.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP – A suspect allegedly fled the scene of a crash involving a stolen vehicle at Rath Avenue and Timber Lane Sunday, Aug. 18,  around 5 a.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“MCSO deputies responded to a vehicle crash,” Cole said. “Upon arrival, deputies found a vehicle which had sustained heavy front-end damage from crashing into a tree.”

The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Ludington Police Department, Cole said, it and was turned over to LPD. No suspect was located at the scene, and it did not appear any injuries occurred.
