Motorcyclist injured after striking deer.

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A 26-year-old Riverton Township man was injured after the motorcycle he was riding struck a deer Sunday, Aug. 11. Emergency personnel were dispatched to Morton Road, north of Kinney Road at 12:03 p.m.

James DeVries was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by ambulance and then to a Spectrum Health hospital in Grand Rapids.

Emergency units dispatched included Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Riverton Township Fire Department, and Ludington Fire Department rescue unit.
