79th District Court sentencings, posted Aug. 8, 2019.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Sara Anne Dwyer, 30, of 7110 E. Sandra Kay Ave., Branch Township, pleaded guilty Aug. 6 to second degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; $426.77 in restitution; and $795 in fines/costs. An additional charge of second degree retail fraud was dismissed.

-Jeffrey Dustin Osborne, 39, of 750 Brookridge Dr., Norton Shores, pleaded guilty July 30 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OUIL) and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; must attend AA two times per week for one year; must meet with physician to determine if current medications are appropriate; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; and $870 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-Laura Grace Erley, 29, of 912 N. Emily St., Apt. A3, Ludington, pleaded guilty Aug. 6 to OUIL and attempted assault/resisting/obstructing a police officer and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs; must attend AA two times per week for one year; must continue current counseling program; and $895 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of operating with a blood alcohol content of .17 or above was dismissed.

-Terryn Dewayne Borgh, III, 22, of 311 N. Lavinia St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Aug. 6 to embezzlement by an agent or trustee less than $200 and was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $664 in restitution; and $910 in fines/costs. A charge of larceny by conversion between $200 to $1,000 was dismissed. 

-Crystal Marie Wabsis, 38, of 312 Barron St., Custer, pleaded guilty July 30 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $35.01 in restitution; and $795 in fines/costs. 

-Brenda Marie Copeland, 43, of 206 S. Delia St., Ludington, pleaded guilty July 30 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; must obtain counseling at Community Mental Health; and $385 in fines/costs.

-Sean Patrick Melle, 44, of 785 N. 176th Ave., Walkerville, pleaded guilty July 30 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $125 in fines/costs.

Dismissals

-Robert Frederick Bates, 48, of 5334 Dairmill Rd., Benzonia, had a charge of second offense operating while license suspended dismissed without prejudice on July 31 per a plea agreement.

-Shayna Marie Elaine Boles, 32, of 2788 E. Hoague Rd., Free Soil Township, had a charge of operating without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed without prejudice on July 31 per a plea agreement.
