Woman pulled to safety after sailboat flips over.

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP – A 41-year-old NorthbrooK, Illinois woman was pulled to safety by other boaters Saturday, July 13, shortly before 6 p.m. after her sailboat flipped over on Hamlin Lake near the sand dunes, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The woman was thrown into the water when the boat overturned, Cole said. She was wearing a life jacket and was not injured.

The sailboat, which sustained a broken sail and rudder, was pulled to shore by the sheriff’s office marine patrol.
