LUDINGTON – The hit-and-run driver who Michigan State Police troopers were searching for following a non-injury crash last Wednesday, June 19, in Pere Marquette Township has been arrested in cooperation with the Ludington Police Department, according to MSP Trooper Kelsey Case of the Hart post.

“Officers of the Ludington Police Department located the vehicle in the City of Ludington and called me to the scene,” Case states in a press release issued Sunday evening, June 23. “I subsequently located the driver – a-20-year-old male from Ludington. He was arrested for failing to stop and identify for the property damage crash and no operator’s license.”

The crash occurred at the intersection of Jebavy Drive and US 10 shortly after 5 p.m. The suspect allegedly rear-ended another vehicle and fled the scene.
