LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Dedra Gay Garrett, 57, of 11824 N. Irons Rd., Irons, pleaded guilty June 18 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OUIL) and was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; must obtain Soberlink for 90 days; subject to random PBTs; must attend AA two times per week for two years; must attend the D.A.T.E. program; and $1,075 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-Corinne Marion Anderson, 22, of 1039 N. William St., Ludington, pleaded guilty June 18 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs; must attend AA two times per week for two years; must continue with community recovery support group; and $1,375 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Chad Edward Vanderbrink, 34, of 4589 S. Masten Rd., Logan Township, pleaded guilty June 18 to attempted assault/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random PBTs; must continue current counseling program; and $595 in fines/costs.

-Tristan Joseph Bromley, 21, of 406 Seventh St., Ludington, pleaded guilty June 11 to OWI and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $1,120 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Terry Teen Clancy, 40, of 134 N. Main St., Custer, pleaded guilty June 18 to OWI and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must follow substance abuse evaluation recommendations; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; and $1,350 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Kayla Jean Johnson, 27, of 494 S. Pere Marquette Hwy., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded guilty June 18 to second degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 16 days in jail with credit for 16 days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must seek and maintain employment; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random drug tests and PBTs; $177 in restitution; and $1,295 in fines/costs. May perform community service in lieu of fines/costs.

-Matthew David Willoughby, 31, of 408 N. Thomas St., Scottville, pleaded no contest June 11 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must have domestic violence evaluation; and $485 in fines/costs.

-Thomas Ray Stimes, 46, of 1796 N. Benson Rd., Branch Township, pleaded no contest June 11 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; 90 days discretionary jail for six months; no contact with the victim; and $285 in fines/costs. Two counts of assault and battery were dismissed.

 

Dismissals

-Timothy Alan Cunningham, 28, of 100 S. Wildwood Crossing, Apt. 24, Amber Township, had a charged of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on June 18 after the defendant paid the ticket.

-Sheila Marie Troyer, 67, of 6550 Marshall Rd., Branch Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on June 18 per a plea agreement.

-Rick Nash, 59, of 6538 W. Sugar Grove Rd., Hamlin Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on June 18 per a plea agreement.

-Melissa Jean Garland, 25, of 202 Second St., Ludignton, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on June 12 per a plea agreement.

-Dylan Duayne Drake, 23, of 8719 Monroe Rd., Walkerville, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on June 12 per a plea agreement.

-Janey Kay Macy, 60, of 1578 Custer Rd., Custer Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on June 12 per a plea agreement.

-Nicholas Duane Franklin, 31, of 11900 W. Centerline Rd., Branch, had charges of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) and driving while license suspended (DWLS) dismissed on June 10 as the defendant is currently incarcerated with Michigan Department of Corrections on an unrelated matter.

-David Ryan Jordan, 19, homeless, had charges of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) and violation of learner’s permit dismissed without prejudice on June 11 per a plea agreement.

-Steven Matthew Amy, 47, of 313 S. Amber Rd., Amber Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on June 12 per a plea agreement.

-Austin William Buchholz, 23, of 5177 S. Eden Lake Rd., Eden Township, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on June 19 per a plea agreement.

-Lori Ann Simmons, 40, of 915 E. Maple St., Apt. 2, Ludington, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no insurance) dismissed without prejudice on June 19 per a plea agreement.

-Julianita Esparza-Kenyon, 23, of 4900 W. Deren Rd., Summit Township, had a charge of malicious destruction of property dismissed with prejudice on June 11.

-Shane Thomas Ingles, 17, of 2907 N. Sandy Dr., Hamlin Township, had a charge of larceny less than $200 dismissed with prejudice on June 18.
