Lake City man faces jail for uttering, publishing counterfeit money.

LUDINGTON – A 30-year-old Lake City man faces serving seven months up front of a one-year discretionary jail term after pleading to uttering and publishing counterfeit notes in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, June 11.

William Eric Weland, of 828 N. Morely Rd., was arrested last March by the Ludington Police Department on felony charges of uttering and publishing a state warrant, receiving and concealing stolen property, and fourth offense habitual offender. His other charges were dismissed in a plea agreement.

Sentencing is set for July 23 at 2 p.m.
