LUDINGTON — Nicholas David Wroble, 31, of 815 E. Dexter St., was arrested by Ludington Police Department last week and charged with breaking and entering and violating his probation, according to Ludington Police Chief Mark Barnett. Nicholas David Wroble, 815 E. Dexter St., was arraigned in 79th District Court on charges of home invasion, first degree a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 20 years and/or a fine of not more than $5,000.00. He was also arraigned in 51st Circuit Court on charges of probation violation.

According to Barnett, Wroble was arrested about 3:30 p.m. on May 14 after he allegedly entered into a house in the 400 block of North Franklin Street, which is in the vicinity of his residence on Dexter Street. He is accused of taking money from the home.

According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, Wroble was on probation until Dec. 12, 2019 following a sentence of up to two years on charges of breaking and entering with intent. See related story here. In October 2017, he testified in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court that he climbed through a window to steal alcohol from a Ludington residence. Wroble pleaded guilty and was sentenced to serve six months of a one year discretionary jail term. Mason County Prosecuting Attorney Paul Spaniola agreed to allow Wroble to be released from jail into a treatment facility if a bed was available.

Wroble was released from the Mason County Jail on Jan. 30, 2018 so he could enter the treatment facility. See related story here.

Bail was set by Magistrate Glenn Jackson III at $50,000 cash/surety with the stipulation that “release on personal recognizance will not reasonably ensure public safety.” He remains lodged in the Mason County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in a probation hearing on May 29.
