Obituary: Richard Stratton, St., 82, Ludington.

Richard Stratton, Sr., 82, of Ludington passed away gently into the arms of Jesus his Lord and Savior on April 18, 2019. Richard was born May 24, 1936 in Chicago to Gardner and Ramona (Seal) Stratton Jr.

Richard was an Eagle Scout. He served 30 years as a volunteer fireman and he was on the City Council in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. He also served as a deacon in the church in Illinois. Most recently, Richard was building handicap ramps for Help Ministry in Mason County.

Richard will be remembered for his love of life and willingness to help those in need.

He is survived by his lovely wife Ann; his daughter Sheri; his four sons, Richard (Terri), Jr., Michael (Swani), Daniel(Laura), Andrew (Maggie); three siblings, Terry, Scott, Marcia; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Richard’s name may be directed to Help Ministry.

A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Family will greet friends starting at 1 p.m. also at the church.
