Obituary: Erika Winkel, 45, Ludington.

Erika Winkel, 45, passed away at her home in Ludington on April 16, 2019.

All who knew Erika would describe her as a gifted and gentle soul. She was lovingly kind to all living creatures and loyally faithful to her large circle of friends. Erika was adventurous and loved swimming, hiking, kayaking and especially fishing. We mourn the loss of the shining light she brought into our lives and to this world.  

Erika is survived by her parents Ted and Judy (Jae) Winkel of Ludington; brother Brad, sister-and-law Alice; nephew Kaden and niece Adelyn of Escondido, Cali.; sister Ellen(Chris) Lawson of Bloomfield Hills; and aunts, uncle and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. A spirited celebration of life is planned for this coming summer—her favorite time of the year.
