Drug take back day is April 27.

LUDINGTON — National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be held on Saturday, April 27. Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital is collaborating with local law enforcement, West Michigan Community Mental Health, and The Leeward Initiative to provide an opportunity for community members to discard their old prescription medications in a safe manner. 

Residents can dispose of their unused and expired medications between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 in the west end parking lot at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. Pills, capsules and patches will be accepted. Medication disposal support will be provided by Michigan State Police and the Mason County Sheriff’s Office. Big Red Box Disposal Boxes are also located at Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Ludington Police Department, and Scottville City Hall.
