Lake Jump, matching grant, raise over $70K for splash pad.

LUDINGTON — Last weekend’s Ludington Lake Jump raised $35,181 for the planned Ludington Splash Pad. The amount is being matched through a Public Spaces Community Places grant through Michigan Economic Development Corporation, doubling the amount raised to $70,362.

The Lake Jump was sponsored by 37 businesses. Hardman Construction of Amber Township matched what its employees raised, up to $10,000. West Shore Bank also matched what Vice President Christine Lamb raised for the jump, up to $2,000. The event had 50 jumpers who braved the wind and waves.
