LHS robotics team qualifies for international competition.

SAGINAW —  The Ludington High School O-bots Team #7160 qualified this weekend for the FIRST Robotics Competition worldwide competition after it competed against 160 teams in the state competition at Saginaw Valley State University. The LHS robotics team finished 61st out of 539 robotics team .

The team competed in the top alliances as fourth seed captain, said Coach Karen Shineldecker. “We showed up to play,” Shineldecker said. It lost in the quarterfinals to the Gems team#4362 from Brighton Michigan, the state champions.

It will now move on to the Worlds competition which will be held April 24 through 27 in Detroit and will include over 400 international teams from over 25 countries and 35 states.
