SCOTTVILLE – The Scottville Police Department has developed a “person of interest” in a counterfeit money case, according to Sgt. Jason Williams.

There were two incidents Wednesday morning, March 20, at Scottville convenience stores of a person attempting to pass a fake $100 bill, Williams said. The bills, which are similar to counterfeit money reported recently in other counties, have foreign writing on them, he said.

If anyone has further information or has seen other suspicious activity, they are asked to contact the Scottville Police Department at 231-757-4729.
