Obituary: Raymond C. Patten, 62, Fountain.

God has called one of his sons’ home.  Raymond C. Patten, 62, of Fountain passed away on March 7, 2019 at Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington. Raymond was born on November 30, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Roy C. and DeEtta F. (Casteel) Patten.  He was the oldest of seven children and enjoyed life. His hobbies were playing catch, bowling, bingo, cards, games, gardening, painting pictures, and crafts. He enjoyed all kinds of superheroes especially Ironman.

Raymond loved to spend time with family and friends and was a valued member of the Oakview and White Oaks family. He overcame many adversities in his life but always did it with determination and a smile. He was a wonderful man and a pleasure to be with and would go out of his way to make someone smile or to help them. Raymond made friends every where he went and will be greatly missed by so many and his family.

Raymond’s spirit now joins his ancestors of the Sac and Fox tribe who are waiting for him in heaven.  They include his parents Roy C. and DeEtta F. (Casteel) Patten; his paternal grandparents George and Dolly Mae (Radford) Patten; his maternal grandparents James C. and Exie E. (Rush) Casteel; his brother-in-law Roy Banister; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Raymond leaves behind mourning him, his siblings Carla D. (Alan) Banister-Weiner of Vestaburg, Debra D. (Carl) Anderson, and  Terry D. Patten all of Grand Rapids, Lucille H. (Kenneth) Geiselman of Tyler, Tex., David R. (Sarah) Patten of Ludington, and Nancy L. (Douglas) Patten-Zerby of Fountain. He also leaves behind ten nieces and nephews, 10 great-nieces and great-nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at a later date with family and friends gathering to praise his life.
