Obituary: Lois Rozell, 70, Scottville

Lois Renae Rozell, age 70, of Scottville, formerly of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Oakview Medical Care Facility.

Lois was born on February 16, 1949 in Ludington, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy Rozell.   She was an avid hiker who loved exploring and motorcycling in the desert southwest. Lois married Daniel Ross in 1967 in Scottville, at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church and is survived by their two sons, David Alan Ross of Nashville, Tenn. and Anthony John Ross of Melvindale.

Lois is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Joshua and Abby Ross of Nashville, Tenn. and Jerison and Brianna Ross of Melvindale; one great-grandson Lucas Allan Ross of Nashville, Tenn.

Also surviving Lois are her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Rozell of Scottville; brothers and sisters, John (Sandy) Rozell of Pine Island, Fla., Randy (June) Rozell of Ludington, Rea Granger of Scottville, Peggy (Mark) McKinnon of Murrieta, Cali., Nell (Robert) von Berge of Holly, and Bill (Terri) Rozell of Grand Rapids. Lois will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.  

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington, with visitation starting at 10 a.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to Oakview Medical Care Facility.
